Friday, June 1, 2018 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

Breakfast: Cooks Choice

Lunch: PB&J, Veggies, Fruit


Clay target team fun shoot will be  this Sunday June 3rd at 1:30. Food will be provided. Bring your own beverages.


High school volleyball players who are playing summer league, there will be a practice Sunday, June 3rd @ 6:00pm.  See Liv Swanson for the league schedules.


There is a summer basketball camp next week @ Desoto High school.  Wednesday, June 6th - Friday, June 8th. Open to all students grades 4-12.  High School session from 8:30-11:30 am, grades 4th-8th 1pm-3. Sign up forms can be picked up in the office or from Mrs. Redman.


Please check the school website or stop in the office and look through the lost and found.  There is also a bag full of items from the boys locker room.

SHARE members going to the Kalahari on June 5th: we will be leaving at 8:00 and return around 4:30. Please meet in the student parking lot to load the bus for this trip. So students have still not gotten their money to Miss Yager. Please do so by Friday morning.


All high school and middle school LMC books should be returned TODAY.  If students wish to check items out during the summer, the LMC will be open Wednesdays in June and July from 8:00-11:30 a.m.


8th Hour Study Hall Students: Please report to Mrs. Redman’s classroom today instead of the LMC.


Chromebooks will be collected today during 6th hour. Please remember your chargers. Classes will be dismissed to the LMC via the office.

Good luck to the girl’s softball team as they play Blair-Taylor in the sectional finals, tonight at Royall High School, at 5:00 p.m.

Middle School and HS Track Teams:  Make sure you turn in your uniform Today.


High school locker cleaning will take place Wednesday at 3:10 p.m. Students will be dismissed by announcement, and will return to class following clean up. Final locker check out for high school will be Friday at the end of the day.

SHARE members: If you are planning on going to Wisconsin Dells on June 5th, you need to let Miss Yager know by next Tuesday, along with paying your money to make reservations. The price is $17.00 per person, which includes your lunch. We will leave at 8:15 AM and return around 4:30 that afternoon.

Valley Hill Farms is looking for 2 males, 16 years or older who are interested in doing summer maintenance work.  Individuals must have a driver’s license and be able to lift 50 lbs. Will typically work 3 days a week. Lunch and snacks will be provided.  Stop in the office for more information.


The Athletic Training Department at VMH is looking forward to offering Sports Performance CAMP at Seneca this summer. This program is designed to train athlete’s on jumping, landing, and cutting techniques to minimize injuries. CAMP participants will learn how to make their movements more efficient & productive!  Join CAMP to help improve your strength, power, endurance, and agility! CAMP is open to anyone in middle, high school, and college.The seven-week program meets on Monday & Wednesday for 7 weeks over the summer. Seneca must have 8 participants to hold the CAMP at our location. Deadline to sign up is June 1st. Stop in the office to pick up a flyer.

The school play “How to Mess Up Your College Interview” will be performed on Sunday at 4:00 in the high school gym.  It is a student produced comedy in one act and admission is free.


Seneca FFA greenhouse manager applications are available outside the Ag room for 2019.

A Navy blue jacket  was lost at prom Saturday night and a similar navy jacket with Cabelas on the front  was,left at prom, If you have a similar jacket, check to make sure it is the correct size , you may have taken the wrong one home, if so please bring it in and we can exchange jackets.

The 8th grade civics class is sponsoring a food drive next week, May 14-18. Information will be distributed to each elementary classroom and middle/high school advisors classroom. All donations will go the the Gays Mills Food Pantry. Please be generous.


Juniors are gone this morning to decorate for Prom. They will return sometime after lunch.


The Seneca Prom will be held at Gatherings on the Ridge tomorrow evening from 9:00 - 12:00. The Grand March will take place at 9:30. Cost is $8 per person and $3 for spectators.


Seniors in Anatomy should report to Mrs. Koch’s study hall this morning.

The Freshman Class is having a brat and bake sale on Sat. from 9:30- 1:30 at Johnson’s One Stop. Please come and support the class.


The 8th grade civics class is sponsoring a food drive next week, May 14-18. Information will be distributed to each elementary classroom and middle/high school advisors classroom. All donations will go the the Gays Mills Food Pantry. Please be generous.


Play practice is at 7:00 tonight in the gym.

Our blood drive goal was 48 units and we raised 67 units! A big thank you to all who worked the blood drive and to those who donated. You made a difference.

Congratulations to the HS track team last night. Maxine Grover 2nd in 800, mile and 2 mile.  Gena Noel 3rd place in Discus. Hunter Aspenson 1st in 100m dash, and 2nd in long jump. Brenden Roling 3rd in 100m dash, and 3rd in long jump. Nate Klema 1st in Discus. 4x100 meter relay team 2nd place.  


Congratulations to the MS track team last night.  Ethan Stanley - 2nd place in 100m dash, 1st place in 200m dash. Haiven Gilbertson - 1st place in triple jump, 3rd place in mile. Zach Salmon - 1st place in Discus.  Nick Kirchhoff - 2nd place Discus.

Students are reminded of the dress code, as the weather gets warmer. Make sure shirts and shorts are school appropriate.  A good rule of thumb for shorts is make sure they have a 3” inseam.

There will be a meeting at 12:40 today for any Juniors who want to discuss decoration ideas for prom, and there will be a meeting the last 15 minutes of 2nd hour tomorrow to discuss Friday’s prom decoration day @ Gatherings on the Ridge.


Congratulations to Damian Dudenbostel, Elisha Eastlick and Preston Mabb for making it into the Fillback Automotive Tech program next year!


Congratulations to Wyatt Bausch for his 25 out of 25 week 2 trap competition! He is currently ranked 2nd in conference and Anya Aspenson is also ranked in conference for the ladies as well.
