Battle of the Books Night

The Seneca School District held its 14th annual Battle of the Books on Tuesday, March 22nd.  There were 84 students that participated to make-up six elementary teams and six middle school teams.  Elementary students read 10 books and middle school students read 9 books. The teams competed by answering questions and testing their knowledge about the books they read.  Not only did students, family members, and guests enjoy great “battles”, they also had the opportunity to enjoy a buy one, get one free Scholastic Book Fair and a delicious supper prepared by the school kitchen staff. Thank you to everyone that helped to make it a fun and successful night and for supporting the students’ reading habits!

The Seneca School District was also represented at the state level with a state Battle of the Books team from the elementary, the middle school, and the high school.  The state teams needed to read the entire list of 20 books and answer questions about those books online.  Each team gave it their best effort and represented Seneca well.
