State Battle of the Books

During the last week of February, both the high school and middle school had teams that represented Seneca in the State Battle of the Books Competition.  This event is hosted each year by the Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association (WEMTA) and takes place online with the competition involving schools from across the state of Wisconsin.  To participate, students had to read twenty pre-
selected books from their specific division.  They then demonstrated their knowledge and comprehension of the plots, characters, and authors of these books in the timed team event.  Our middle school State Battle team included Evan Payne, Willow Roensch, Bryonna Caya, Lindsey Sime, and alternate Kendra Chambers.  The high school State Battle team included Helen Clark, Emma Payne, Travis Zach, and Murielle Grover.  Congratulations to these participants on a job well done representing Seneca at the state level of this competition!
