Seneca Elementary State Battle of the Books Team makes Honors Club

The Battle of the Books program is designed to promote a love of reading.

Elementary State battle teams consist of fourth through sixth grade students. Our team was all fourth graders.  All must read the twenty Battle books. These books consist of the nominated Golden Archer winners for the primary and intermediate levels plus a variety of other award winning titles. This year 214 schools throughout Wisconsin competed online.

The State Battle Seneca Elementary team made the Honors club this year. Teams need to score 300 or more points to be recognized for this honor. The team is made up of four students. The fourth grade students that earned this honor are Courtney  Barnett, Jacob Payne, Marisa Rew,  Kylie Stluka and alternate Brett O’Kane.  Mrs. Jean Ellefson is their Advisor. Congratulations to these students!

Seneca and North Crawford third and fourth graders had a fun Battle of the Books competition at North Crawford on March 7 . On March 22, we will have our Seneca  Competition . Middle school teams fifth through eight will also compete. There will be a Scholastic Buy One, Get One Free Book Fair starting at 4 in the Middle School Hallway and Board Room. More information will be sent home.
