A number of changes have taken place here at school since the end of last year. One of the biggest changes you will notice is some new personnel. Marlys Oldenburg retired from our school, after 38 years of service to our District.  Jessica Pedretti and Jenny Jerrett have left for other employment. Larry McCarn has retired, after 44 years of working in the District. We will have three new teachers this year. Philip Davies is our new K-12 music instructor. He grew up in Illinois, and taught in Green Bay the last two years. Michaela Chambers will be teaching in the elementary. She recently graduated from Viterbo University, and is a Seneca native. Madalyn Welsh will be our 5th grade teacher.  She is originally from Iowa-Grant, and taught at Potosi last year. We will also have some changes regarding student transportation.  Leonard Olson has retired after serving our District for 56 years as a bus driver. Bob Boehmke has also moved on, and Louis Prew and Richard Kirchhoff will now be driving bus routes. We will also have a new food service worker in the kitchen, Nissa Klema.

We are excited to have these quality employees, added to an already strong staff.  Please welcome these new people to our school community! Our employees are quality individuals, and I firmly believe our instructional and support staffs are the greatest strength of our school.

Our school continues to strive for the continual growth and improvement of each of our students, so that upon graduating they can compete with the best. Each middle school and high school students has access to his/ her own Chromebook personal technology device. This is the eighth year we are using these at the high school level.  We implemented this program in 2013, thanks to a generous donation from the Seneca Educational Foundation.  The elementary students also have access to a number of these devices.  This is one of the ways our school is staying on top of the quickly evolving trends in public education.

Summer is rapidly winding down, and the first day of school is September 3. The school open house is Thursday, August 29. We hope to see many of you there!
