The Seneca Area School District is seeking applicants for a cleaning person beginning October 1, 2024, or sooner. Prospective applicants should preferably have a high school diploma.
Primary responsibilities include dusting, dust mopping, wet mopping, cleaning windows and mirrors; scrubbing, collecting, and disposing of trash; vacuuming, sweeping, polishing, changing light bulbs, presenting the school in a favorable light to the public; and any other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or District Administrator.
The position is year-round. The probationary wage is $15.89 per hour, increasing to $17.66 after the 90-day probationary period. The wage scale rises to $19.08 in two years. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, sick leave, personal leave, and District matching contributions to a retirement plan.
The hours during school days are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a 20-cent night differential. Summer hours consist of four 10-hour days per week.
