On October 14, Seneca Volunteer Fireman Tyler Aspenson addressed the elementary students about fire prevention and safety at an assembly in the gym. October is Fire Prevention Month. The students learned about what to do in case of a fire, how to call 911, and how to evacuate from a fire safely. They also learned about the responsibilities of a fire fighter, and what training they must take in order to be a fireman. Tyler also asked the students to remind their parents to test their smoke detectors at home, as October is the best month to do that. The school would like to thank Tyler for taking the time to come in and address our students, and thank all the members of our local fire departments for volunteering their time to make our community a safer place!
