NexTrex Plastic Collection Challenge
I want to inform you that the Seneca Area School District will meet the goal of collecting 1,000 pounds of plastic. Therefore, we will no longer accept recycling plastic after May 24th. We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to this initiative by saving and dropping off plastic. A special thanks goes to Rachel George for introducing the idea and helping drop off bags at the Hy-Vee in Onalaska. We would also like to express our gratitude to Hy-Vee in Onalaska for providing us with a drop-off location and being an excellent partner throughout the program.
Our collective efforts have not only helped us achieve our goal but have also reduced plastic waste in the landfill. We are proud to share that the Seneca Area School District will continue this challenge for the 2024-2025 school year. The images represent 800 pounds of plastic we successfully diverted from the landfill.
Thank you all for your participation and support.
Alex Osterkamp
