Cleaning Position
The Seneca Area School District is seeking applicants for a cleaning person beginning June 4th, 2026. Prospective applicants should preferably have a high school diploma.
Primary responsibilities include dusting, wet mopping, cleaning windows, and collecting and disposing of trash. Summer responsibilities include waxing floors, deep-cleaning classrooms, painting, and completing other assigned duties.
The position is year-round. The probationary wage is $16.25 per hour, increasing to $18.06 after the 90-day probationary period. The wage scale rises to $19.48 in two years. Benefits include health insurance, long-term disability, and life insurance, sick leave, personal leave, and District matching contributions to a retirement plan.
The hours during school days are 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a 20-cent night differential. Summer hours consist of four 10-hour days per week.
