Wednesday, March 5th, the Seneca Area School District will be closed due to the potential winter storm. All after-school activities are pending at this time.

Preparations for the 6-8 Science Fair are well underway. Students have created experiments on everything from effects juice and candy to cause tooth decay to how fast worms compose. The community is welcome to attend the Fair on March 10th.....watch for more details.

Seneca Area School District Wrestling Pep Rally!

Students in Ms Collum's Science 9 and Biology worked on their dissection skills while cutting apart a Keebler Elf cookie. Not only did students cut away specific parts of the cookie, but they also had to slice the fudge thin enough to view under a microscope.
The elementary library is planning Read Across America Week for grades PK-5 next week: February 24-28, 2025.
It is a week to celebrate and promote reading, books, the library, and literacy.
There will be dress up days planned for elementary students to show their love of books and reading! Michelle is also planning a special treat to celebrate Read Across America Week. Thanks Michelle!
The third and fourth grade students will complete their classroom Battle of the Books competition during their library classes on February 26th-27th. They have been preparing all year and are ready to battle!
There will also be several contests and fun activities to make the week special. The students in grades PK-K-1 will be receiving handouts to show their creativity for their favorite book. Students in grades 2-3-4-5 will be receiving handouts to design their own bookmark to be printed and displayed in the library. There will also be a guessing jar contest in the elementary library all next week.
