Kindergarten just finished up their chick unit. The kids get to see the life cycle of a chick from the very beginning. We candle the eggs together, place them in the incubator, and wait 21 long days for our chicks to hatch. This year we journaled each day about the changes that were happening inside. Our favorite day, of course, is when they start hatching. We were so lucky to see 2 chicks hatch while we were in the room.

Mrs. Redman's Health/PE class looked a little different last month! Each year members from the Seneca First Responders who are also CPR instructors, hold a 2 day class at school to certify the Freshmen Class in Healthcare Provider CPR. These kids did an amazing job and the instructors were very impressed with their skills and their eagerness to learn. Each student passed an exam and will be issued a CPR card. This class will be recertified when they are seniors as part of the newly implemented Family Living curriculum.

The Seneca Student Council is hosting a Blood Drive this Wednesday, May 10th from 12:30pm -5:30pm at the Seneca Town Hall.
