Seneca was included in the Wisconsin College Savings Program this September. Students were sent home with a bag full of goodies. These resources and giveaways are from the Extension Crawford County and the Wisconsin College Savings Program. Kindergarten parents could enter into a sweepstakes to win a $500 contribution to jumpstart their Edvest 529 college savings account for their child. Last week we drew for the winner of this prize.

Please give a HUGE congratulations to the Dairy and Forage Judging teams from the World Dairy Expo contests yesterday.
The Dairy team placed 2nd out of 116 teams! Hayven Smethurst was 3rd Individually out of 343 kids, Brett O’Kane was 25th/343 and Carson Sime was 100/343 individuals!
Forage Team- Placed 23/48 teams
Hunter Hagensick was 39/141 individuals, Luke Boland was 49/141, and Drew Lenzendorf was 111/141 individuals.

Congratulations to the contestants who participated in the River Ridge Contest! The Seneca Dairy Team 1 took first place out of 27 teams at the contest and Brett O’Kane as top overall individual and Carson Sime 10th overall individual!
Seneca Livestock Team 1 placed 13th/34, Team 2 21st/34, Team 3 26th/34 and Team 4 27th/34.

News from the lunchroom. Justin from Sustainable Kitchens came to visit us to start our process of adding some new lunch items made from scratch. Tuesday and Thursday the kids had the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable program. Tuesday they also had Jicama and Thursday they had Cotton Candy Grapes! Today was a student and staff favorite, Subs!
