Congratulations to Evan Payne, who was recently selected as one of 32 statewide finalists for the prestigious 2023 WIAA Scholar Athlete Award! Only 4 boys and 4 girls from each of the four WIAA divisions were selected based on both athletic and academic achievement.
Evan has earned nine letters in basketball, football and baseball. He earned four Ridge & Valley Conference selections in basketball and helped his team win conference championships in both football and basketball. He is also one of our senior class Valedictorians. Evan will be honored at the WIAA Scholar Athlete Banquet on May 7th in Wausau. Congratulations!
Due to the snow day on April 17, we have had to adjust our school schedule as follows: We will be adding 7 minutes to each school day, beginning Monday, April 24. In addition, May 3 and May 26 will no longer be early release days; they will be a full day of school. See the school website for more details.

Reminder that the 2023 FFA Banquet will be Wednesday, April 19th @ 6:30pm at Gatherings on the Ridge.

All-Conference Academics: The Ridge and Valley All-Conference Academic team was named recently, and Seneca High School had all five of our nominees recognized. Lindsey Sime, Kendra Chambers, and Evan Payne were named First Team Academic All-Conference. Brennan Wallin and Bridget Hagensick were named Second Team Academic All-Conference. Each year the Ridge and Valley Conference schools recognize their thirty highest academic achievers, and these five students were among that group. Congratulations to them on their outstanding academic achievements during their high school careers!

The HS Girls Soccer originally scheduled for today vs Dodgeville/Mineral Point @ Prairie du Chien will now be played April 24.
Every year we participate in the area Land and Water Conservation poster contest. Paxton finished 1st in the area contest and went on to the state level competition. His artwork placed 3rd at state. This is the highest placing we have ever had in this contest. Great job everyone.
There will be an open gym this Saturday(4/8) from 9:30am-11:30am for Seneca girls in grades 3-8, who have signed up for SENECA little league. We will be working on fundamentals such as pitching, catching, fielding and hitting.
