Message from Erika Clark: Seneca Parents, Thank you to all who signed up for fall sports. Just a reminder that at this time, the Code of Conduct meeting is scheduled for July 27 at 7 pm in the school gym. If your child is interested in participating in a fall sport and didn't sign up yet, please send me a message. I will be looking to see who needs new physicals shortly. Thank you again.

Southwest Tech’s Tech Trek information is now available! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Southwest Tech is not able to offer our summer camps in a face-to-face format on campus as originally planned; however, we were able to revise the camps to be offered in a virtual format. Tech Trek, scheduled for July 20 - 23, is for students entering grades 7 – 9 in the 2020-2021 school year. Session topics will include culinary, emergency medical technician, computer-aided drafting, computer numerical control (CNC), carpentry, agriculture, child care, nursing, and cosmetology. Participants will select to attend one session each day from 10:00 – 11:00 via Zoom. The camp has a $35 material fee which will include materials required for the session and a t-shirt which will be sent to the participant’s home address. May Middle School & High School Student of the Month. Gracie Sime, 8th grade student and the daughter of Cody and Lacey Sime. Throughout middle school, Gracie has been a good friend to others and is there for them when they are down. She also likes to make other people laugh. Her classmates describe her as awesome, funny, artistic, and a great friend to have. Ashton Swanson, 10th grade student and the son of John Pat Swanson and Dawn Swanson. During the school outage Ashton worked very hard on his schoolwork. In addition, he helped fellow classmates with their work and encouraged them to keep working and helping them to stay on task. He attended all of his math classes Zoom meetings. Congrats Gracie and Ashton!

April Middle School & High School Student of the Month. Kaden Roberts, 6th grade student and the son of Keith and Ashley Roberts has been selected as the April Middle School Student of the Month. Kaden was nominated for this recognition, because he has worked very hard to keep up with his class assignments, maintained a positive attitude, encouraged his classmates, and communicated effectively through email and Zoom during the school closure. Anna Allen, 9th grade student and the daughter of Gene and Kati Allen. Anna is a very dedicated person under normal circumstances but with the school outage due to COVID-19, she doubled her efforts to attend Zoom meetings and turn in work on time. She travelled 12 miles both ways to access wi-fi signal and maintained her great work ethic and attitude. Congrats Kaden and Anna!

As our school year is coming to a close, we would like to take a moment to recognize and congratulate our retirees . These 3 ladies have a long history with the Seneca School District and we would like to THANK them for their years of service to the district and it's students/staff. Thank you Cathy, Mrs. Aspenson and Mrs. Oldenburg. Enjoy retirement, we will miss you!

Reminder that the open enrollment period for the 2020-21 school year has been extended and ends Friday, May 29 at 4:00 p.m. See the DPI website or contact the school if you have questions.

The elementary school hallway will be open the afternoons of Wed, May 27 and Thur, May 28 for parents to pick up student belongings, for students grades PK-4. Social distancing should be observed and students should not participate with parents.
